Poor gift voucher service

I received a voucher as a gift but could not use it because it was "redeemed" by the person who gave it to me. The voucher was sent to her email address and then forwarded to me on the day she gave it to me. But because it was sent to her address initially, Takealot see it as redeemed by her, though she never typed it in in her personal account. They did not want to transfer it to me or cancel that voucher and give us a new one.
