Poor delivery service

It is very frustrating that when i ordered goods from takealot they are not delivered on my door step, i have to negotiate with the delivery guy for his convinient spot where i can come and fetch my parcel. I am a student, i was not notified that my parcel was on the way, the delivery guy calls me to come get my parcel way out of my residences, what is the reason of courior when i have to go out with my PJ’s to some other residence where “everyone else is getting their parcels?” thats what the delivery said. He also said he cant go door to door, what is the convinience of shopping online if it cant be delivered on my door step??
