Poor customer service on return

I purchased a Hauwei P40 lite in December 2023. Not even after using the phone for one week, the screen started showing lines when you unlock the phone. I took some pictures, and booked a return. Takealot fetched the phone, evaluated it, and said the return was declined. After about a week, I tried to phone them, I emailed them to find out how they got to the conclusion, but the responses was bad, taking days to return my email, and when I finally an answer, they said the phone will be delivered the next day. I set up the phone once more, and it did exactly the same.

I would like an answer as to how they got to that conclusion, why they didnt inform me of the outcome, why they didnt phone me to discuss the matter, although the phone is still doing the same thing.

I'm very disappointed, as I spend R4000 buying a brand new phone, and expect it to function as a brand new phone.

I urge management to call me regarding this matter so that it can be resolved on a higher level.
