Poor communication and unsolicited retention of payment instead of a refund.

I placed an order on 6 December. Delivery was promised for 18 December. On 19 December I checked my order only to find that it had been cancelled. Apparently the goods that that were ordered were out of stock. I was never notified about the cancellation. Takealot offered a simple apology and instead of refunding me for the R1000 I spent my money was allocated to my account. This forces me to use them again and effectively represents an interest free loan that Takealot solicited from me.
