PLEASE BE AWARE WHEN PEOPLE ARE COLLECTING FROM TAKEALOT

I always shop online using takealot.com and use to be impressed by the service. I needed to return 2 items, one was a gazebo that was defective and the other was a carpet which I was not happy with. On 14th of March the courier company for takealot fetched the Gazebo only and not the carpet. The gentleman who collected the Gazebo took and picture of it and he logged it under the wrong return code, I received a message with the wrong return code saying the item was received at the warehouse and they will revert. Today is the 22nd of March and takealot has not refunded me for the Gazebo and is claiming that they are still following up with courier company. I believe they can't locate the Gazebo now. This is ridiculous as this an extremely big item, extremely difficult to misplace. Ive sent several emails following up on this return and each time they pass you on to the next person and you have to explain everything from the beginning. There seems to be no way forward. PLEASE BE AWARE WHEN PEOPLE ARE COLLECTING FROM TAKEALOT. ensure you take down the persons details and take a picture of ur return. I am sitting at a loss currently and have not purchased a much needed gazebo as I am awaiting the refund of the one I already returned.
