Phone won't Charge less than 6 months old

I bought a phone less than 6 months ago from Takealot. I charged it in the morning, next thing it doesn't want to charge in the evening and they are rejecting my return because of broken screen. I left notes saying I don't want a new phone, I want the phone to get fixed as the screen has nothing to do with a phone not being able to charge. In my opinion this is a manufacturer issue and fixing that problem will make things easier for the both of us. I can't sit with a phone that won't charge when I hardly even charge it because of it's great battery life. I'm not satisfied with Sandiwa's reply.
