PHILIPS 3000 STEAM IRON- FAULTY

Bought a Philips 3000 Steam Iron from Takealot.com . When you fill the Iron with water to Iron a garment, the water is running out with the result that the garment is soaking wet. The spray button is faulty. When I returned it for a refund, the refund was rejected: as per evaluation no fault was found on the product I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE PERSON THAT TESTED THE IRON- TESTED THE IRON BY FILLING IT UP WITH WATER AND USED THE SPRAY BUTTON ???? or did the person looked at the iron and saw it looked ok
