Pensioner paid for TV, but still no working product to show for it!

On 28th Sept 2022, my Mother (78yr old pensioner) purchased a Hisense 32" A4G HD Smart TV. The TV was installed by an accredited installer, but after 2 months the TV starting losing pixels and had a blue color to the images on the screen. I logged a return request for a replacement. This request was declined stating "unauthorized alterations to a product this voids the warranty; therefore, we cannot accept that item back. please have a look at our returns policy." The alterations refers to the plug that was removed in order to put the power supply through the wall to get to the electricity point on the other side of the wall. According to our knowledge, removing a plug does not affect the pixels of the imagery on aTV unit. On the 28th Nov 2022 I rep**** to TakeAlot indicating that we are not satisfied with the outcome and would like the matter to be reviewed. We had no feedback or response to this request. On the 5th Dec 2022 I then again sent an email to TakeAlot, copying the CEO and Ettienne Lourens, with the reasons for our dis-satisfaction and disappointment in how TakeAlot treats their customers. Because of Takealot "Returns & Exchange policy", the TV still has not been refunded or replaced. However Takealot has received full payment (+- R3000.00). How is that fair and how can TakeAlot feel proud of such a 'transaction'. I think this is pure day-light ******* as TakeAlot has received the money, but the customer (a pensioner) has no 'working' product since Nov 2022 until now to show for the money paid. It may just be an insignificant amount for a huge company, but it is quite an expenditure for a pensioner. This portrays a very poor image of TakeAlot and their concern for the customers out there.

Reviewer Update
So, we have still not had any favourable outcome to this.
TakeAlot has not bothered to reply to this review.
However, some response was given via their FB messaging. All the detail regarding Return calls logged etc was given, but they still keep on referring to the returns policy without anyone actually contacting us to discuss this matter in person.
The outcome is still unsatisfactory and I have logged returns 3times. Currently the TV is still in the packaging at my Mom's house, BROKEN. R3000 PAID FOR SOMETHING THAT CANNOT BE USED. It is truly disheartening to think a HUGE company like TakeAlot cannot come to the party and try to meet us halfway. 😭
