Pathetic service from Takealot

Worst service - Placed an order on the 28th of November 2019 and delivery date was given as the 11 of December. A few days later I log in and the delivery date says the 10th of December. I arrange for for someone to be at the delivery address to pick up the parcel (my sons birthday present as his birthday is on the 18th of December). This morning i log on to purchase a generator and decide to check on the order i placed for my sons birthday present and to my surprise i see the delivery date is now the 19th of December. Should i tell my son that he can only receive his presents the day after his birthday as TAKEALOT is *********** of delivering items on said dates or will the delivery date change once again. Phone the call center and get told the team leader is possibly in a meeting as she is not at her desk and that i should call back later. Is this the kind of "customer service" we should just accept? No notification of the delivery dates changing, team leaders not at their desks.
