Paid R5000 for my Smeg Mixer and never received it!!!!

On 26/12/2018 I placed an order and paid for a Smeg Mixer to be delivered on the 5th of January 2019 and I have yet to receive my order. On the 3rd I received an SMS stating that the delivery will take place before the end of the day, which I had to reschedule back to the 5th because I was to return home from holiday the day before. Then the package never arrived. I contacted Takealot several times to ascertain what had happened and when the package will be delivered. On the 9th of January, I received an e-mail out of the blue stating that my order has been canceled and I will in due time receive a refund. I Immediately responded by saying I will not accept the cancelation as the item I ordered was purchased at R5000 and currently, the same item is listed on the website at R6799, which will then indirectly cost me R1799 more to again order the same item. Then Takealot responded by saying they did try to deliver the package but I apparently refused to accept it, which is nothing short of a blatant lie. I informed them that I have CCTV recording at my premises and I can prove that no courier was at my house or even in my street front. It's then when the real battle began...I received an e-mail on the 11th stating that the package will be delivered that day to which I rushed home intending on to make sure I'm home and able to receive the package but again no courier in sight. This whole process repeated itself the next day and then again today (14/01/2019). I can't believe the amount of frustration I have to put up with as a paying customer. Takealot was one of the companies know for being immune to this type of mentality. I am deeply disappointed and heavily frustrated. There was an agreed upon sale contract that took place, I paid for an item I want to buy at a specific price to be delivered on a specific date. I kept my end of the bargain and now it's costing me time, effort and money to try and get the very item I bought almost weeks ago.
