Package sent back to warehouse

Takealot is sending my package back to the warehouse after claiming that they were at my house 2 times to deliver the package and I wasnt available, they were never here I received no phone call regarding thia, now I have an email saying that because of me not being available for 2 days they are sending back my order, this is unacceptable they were never here and if they were (according to them) why didn't they call me? I am very dissapointed as this package was meant as a gift for a birthday today!! Poor service!
