overworked and underpaid

I have now been working for mr delivery for some time and Im gatvol and I have had enough. Workers excluding top head office management to the people at the bottom of this food chain are treated like lower class people and our pay shows just that of lower class people. If head office had to know who is emailing and posting this they will cause so much problems and issues for me, my family and my boss. On the other hand, my boss has been very good to me. I cant say a single wrong word and Im thankful that Im always treated with respect but I feel that I need to say this without getting my boss in trouble. But all of you must wake up! Lets start at the top. The top head office management smile and laugh all the way to the bank. We slave ourselves off for 16 hours a day and some days even longer. Head office people are probably sleeping or enjoying time with their families while us the lower class are slaving ourselves to make the “big shots” bucks. We even need to skip Church on Sundays so my religion is out of the door. I have the right to my religion but you take it away from myself and others. This for earning what we earn? I happened to get an invoice that was lying around in the office that my boss sent to head office for deliveries done in a month and made a copy and I can now see why we as workers get paid what we do. I always thought that the owners get paid alot but it is not like that. I was shocked to see what is paid for a delivery and how little my boss gets for a delivery after paying the drivers. How must my boss make a living, pay rent, cover the every day running of the office, car repairs with that what you are paying and then the fines for complaints and food losses and vouchers that you just give customers? My boss worked on the office computer recently and forgot to log out of the personal emails. I have downloaded every email I could and kept it safe. What I saw scared me and could not believe my eyes and would like to show everyone This time of year is so busy that there is hardly enough time for us to eat. Call centre agents are so busy with calls from customers as they tell us in the branch when calling us. All of our people of the lower class are completely thrown with work while head office people blow in our necks and are always email or call. We will get calls asking will drivers finish on time, emails about how far deliveries are follow ups through the day that we need to give feedback. Then there is the multi piece parcels that we need to sort out and find because it is not sent together on the Milk Run or the stickers are wrong. I saw emails where branches ask when will this be sorted out and now nothing can be done about it, managers must just sort it out and struggle until it is found. I wonder if the “Big Shots” in Head office knows what it is to be a manager in a branch and to run a branch like we do every day. Jean asked in an email that a Monday must be spent in a branch to see what we have to deal with. Do you have any idea? Will Head office “Big Shots” know what to do and how to do it? I don’t think so. I also dare you all in head office who think you are better than the rest of us to come and search for the multi parcels and see if you can find it and if you enjoy it while getting asked for it the whole time. A reply on Jeans email by a “Big Shot” said that we understand the issue but cant do anything about it, just do your best. Then saying thanks for your continued hard work and dedication. Yes the work is continued and never stops and very hard which is not needed and could be easier. Top management at Head office care about nothing or no one but themselves. They are the only ones who matter in this business and they are the only important people in life. I think that they live by “the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer” and enjoying it. They make sure that this is done My email says gatvol worker because I am gatvol of the way we are treated and the rich getting richer because of us and how we have to work day in and day out. I have given so much of my best time of my life to takealot and mr delivery and what do I have to show for it? Nothing but wrinkles from all of the stress and black rings around my and other workers eyes because we almost don’t sleep because we work the whole time. We all working for you neglect our families and children while making you all money. I miss my kids growing up while slaving myself off to make you all rich while Im earning peanuts for working myself to death. No one can wake their kids after 11 at night to spend some time with them or wake them up before leaving to be at work at 5. It was all over the news about the exam that takealot is ready for and 1 minute when the sale was on on Black friday the site crashed and bombed out. It was the joke of the year This after saying how long and hard takealot has worked and got ready for the Black friday sale. Was more of a Black out as said on facebook. The email with the link to the news was sent to all the branches by a “Big Shot” from head office for all of us to see just for us to laugh on Black Out friday and enjoying it . Pleasure between all the work. You get whats coming to you. You at head office deserve all of the complaints from unhappy customers because of what you do to the people below you. I hope that more and more customers complain because you deserve it for treating us like you do. There was also a interview on 702 some time ago. Nonsense was given as truth for all to hear. I enjoyed laughing at what he said while knowing the truth and then he hopes people believe the nonsense he spoke. All workers who listened know what the truth is Head office the rich people blows on the branches necks and puts pressure on us. We all suffer for headoffice and head office smiles all the way to the bank The branches and drivers are used to make Head office richer and richer every day with every order and delivery. Going more down the food chain with the rich at the top of the food chain you get us the people in the branches. Managers, assistant managers, admin workers and assistants who work in running the branches and getting parcels booked out, dealing with customers dealing with drivers all of this working for pennies with almost no sleep or rest. We work extremely long hours without even a break for lunch or a break to go to the toilet. There is just no time. We work for a small amount per hour 363 out of 365 days a year because the branches are only closed Christmas and New Years day. Some branches are open from 5 in the mornings until 10 or 11 at night. 7 Days a week. Sometimes shifts of 17 hours or longer non stop. It takes time to cash up after deliveries and after we close. We sometimes leave the office after 11 at night and this after we are at the office at 5 in the mornings. Transport is also a problem so early and so late. We risk our own lives going in while it is still dark outside and leaving the office when it is dark again. Branches are thrown with trucks bringing parcels that must go out for delivery. One after the other. Not even time to pack away and sort We work ourselves to death when head office top management enjoy spending precious and quality time with their families and loved ones while we work from early in the mornings until late at night. Day in, day out. On our little off days we will still get phoned by the office. We would all like and enjoy to spend some time with our families and children, but there is no time for that as we work to put food on the table with the peanuts we get paid when head office people get the big money. The lowest of the lower class is the poor drivers who deliver food and the parcels. Most of them are sub contractors using their own transport and petrol. They drive their cars to a wreck for the joys and laughing of top management of mr d Food takealot and superbalist. Some of the cars and bikes looks so bad and can hardly drive as they are falling apart but head office doesn’t care as long as deliveries are getting done to make head office people money. The drivers transport breaks one after the other and they don’t have money to fix it. To headoffice everything is about making money for them. No feelings for people at all Drivers almost dont get enough to fill up their tanks and they have families at home to support. They mostly work for tips and hope that they will get a friendly customer that will give a good tip. Drivers don’t stay long and leave because the pay is so very bad. But head office complain that we don’t have enough drivers and we must get more. Today a “Big Shot” emailed again saying the drivers are decreasing. He does not ask himself why this is happening! It is clear why but it will not be admitted Will you at head office work for the money that drivers and office staff are paid? Think about that why don’t you? Put yourselves in the shoes of a manager or driver and think to yourselves of what we do and what we get paid and if it is fare. I would love to see reactions of all of you in your fancy glass towers in Cape Town that probably have a sea view when you are thinking about this. If Mr delivery and takealot paid people more and what they deserve for the hard work and long hours people will stay but no one cant survive with the little money that is paid to people working for takealot and mr delivery. Customers should stop supporting you all because what you do is inhumane I send this to every one who needs to see this and wake up and do something to stop this and for you to think of what you head office people do to people working in branches and doing deliveries to make money for you so your bank accounts can grow while we all suffer. I hope that owners and office staff will stand together after getting this email to make this wrong, right. I hope that all of you rich people at Head office enjoy the rest of season making big bucks out of our sweat and blood and tears and have a good Christmas with your families. Me and other workers will just sleep on Christmas Day as we are tired of working our asses off to make you rich and this for earning peanuts and then we are working again on boxing day.. How can 2 days a year be enough to get rest and spend time with our families? Myself and the other people working for you deserve much better than what you do and offer us and you all need to wake up. What you are doing is slave labour and should be punishable but you bunch at head office think you are untouchable and can do what you want and treat people however you want to but someday you will be sorry as karma is a ***** and you all will get what you deserve Ciao
