Order Failure Ruins Stundent's Semester

Let me start by saying I am a full time employee of another successful online store in South Africa, we pride ourselves on customer service and get in touch with anyone who has placed, or is trying to place an order on our site.

Placed an order for my textbooks on the 29th of July.
Processed payment through Nedbank's secure payment with my cellphone etc. (not rocket science) and I have done this many times. Everything seemed fine and I was aware that there was a lead time of 5-7 days.

A week later I checked up on my order only to find that they had not processed the payment. Understandably there may have been a tech error. So I decided to give them another chance.

I chose the R35 next day delivery option and was ensured my first textbook arrived in time for the assignment. They let me down again, no body came to deliver my textbooks yesterday. I was at the address literally all day. They say that it was out on delivery on their tracking system (I call BS) there has been absolutely no communication from them what so ever.

I cannot submit my assignment now which has cost me R1350 in study fee's and I will never recommend Takealot. Such a pity for Kalahari...

Hello AstonDavies,

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by yesterday's failed delivery attempt and we appreciate you taking our complaints team's call earlier to address this matter. They've confirmed you've been in touch with Mr Delivery to arrange collection of your items directly from the branch.
