Order cancelled

I placed an order with Takalot on the 23th April 2018 the laptop in question was on promotion at R7499 and the normal price was R9499 so I placed an order and paid for it while placing the order the delivery date was the 25th April 2018. On the 25th I received an email to say there is a delay and it will take 3-4 working days to source the laptop from the supplier and the new delivery date is the 3rd May, on the 3rd May I received another email stating another delay and will be receiving it on the 9th May on the 8th May with my order been cancelled saying they cannot source the product from their supplier. So I am upset about 2 things why did it take them so long to figure out that the supplier cannot produce the laptop and number 2 which I feel like Takealot is lying to be because they have the exact same laptop for sale on their website for R8499 so if a customer purchases it at that price will they inform the customer they cannot source the laptop or did they just lie to me and actually they don’t want to supply me with the laptop at that price?
