Ongoing Issue Since 13 Nov – No Resolution, Underweight Products Sold

I am extremely disappointed with the handling of a serious issue involving underweight Rogue Legion whey protein purchased from Takealot. Both sealed 1kg bags I bought weighed 998g and 996g including the packaging, meaning the actual product content was noticeably under the stated 1kg net weight.

I immediately contacted the supplier, who did not respond to multiple emails, website messages, or Facebook messages. I then contacted Takealot on 13 November, and despite providing all proof, photos, and detailed information, the matter is still unresolved more than two weeks later.

Takealot keeps repeating the same vague responses with no clear timeline or final outcome. I was told the issue was being “escalated,” but no meaningful progress has been made. As the retailer, Takealot is legally responsible for ensuring product accuracy and for protecting customers when sellers fail to respond. Instead, this process has been drawn out with no cer*****y, no resolution, and unnecessary inconvenience for the customer.

I expected Takealot to act with urgency, especially since this is a Consumer Protection Act matter involving underweight goods. Unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing.
