Not so happy

Takealot have always given good service. Pricing fluctuates but mostly competitive. Few things aggravate me more than when I think someone is trying to make a quick buck off me. Please explain my last order. I receive a cancellation mail due to "unrest across the country". So I log in, click order, click item and it comes up showing a 5 to 7 day wait time but now at 2x the price? Really? The same item as what's in the order is available at 7 other online shops for 599. Does Takealot not screen their 3rd party suppliers? Being online surely before the item is placed for sale on website it is price checked? There are multiple items exactly the same with big price differences on Takealot......why? Some question is..... is this order cancelled because the supplier sees a gap to mark items up, or is there a legit delivery issue, and why if there are delivery issues is 5 to 7 days still shown on the advert? Spare me the "we will mail the affected orders with complications " this order was placed way before the unrest started.
