Not impressed with Fitbit and Takealot.com

I have purchased a Fitbit versa in 2018 Dec for my wife and a week ago after a swim, the Fitbit watch has stopped working. I have contacted Fitbit and they have assisted me in factory resetting the watch and losing all her data. Fitbit is saying that it only had a year warranty. I also contacted Takealot as the rest of the Fitbit versus ranges has a 24-month warranty. Takealot.com could not care less about customer service as they claim. They only said they cover a 6month warranty and will not have the watch returned. It is a shame on both these companies.
