NOT HONOURING PRICES ON PRODUCTS ORDERED - FALSE ADVERTISING

I placed on order, submitted proof of payment, order was acknowledged and confirmed. Suddendly the next day I was informed the item is no longer available at the price I paid, the supplier is out of stock. I complained about this and stated they need to honour my purchase as stock is still availble but at a higher price, constituting false advertising. I have now been informed that while stock was available when I placed my order, it was not available the following day when payment reflected in their account. This is not an acceptable explanation because stock was available, at the price advertised when I placed my order and I submitted a payment receipt as proof payment had been made, this should enough to secure my order. They had no right to cancel it within a space of a few hours. The item should have been held for me. They should honour the order, at the price advertised when I purchased it, and provide it to me. I did not want the credit, I wanted the item I purchased at the price. Condisering I am a regular and loyal customer of Takealot, I expect them to honour my order and provide me the item I ordered for the price it was advertised.

Having now dealt with management at Takealot and being able to substantiate my complaint with the necessary paperwork, Takelot have now honoured my order. May I suggest to Takealot that while I understand the automated process, automation is not always conducive to good business practice. If a customer takes advantage of a special, places an order and immediately can prove they paid for their order, a grace period has to be app**** before selling that item to someone else who places an order afterwards who just happens to bank with teh same bank ast Takealot or have a credit card.
