Non returnable damaged books

I returned a book I received damaged from takealot a few days ago. They did not communicate with me at all. I had to send an email asking for an update in order for them to let me know my return is rejected. Books are non returnable at takealot even if you receive it damaged. Books are also not sent out in their usual packaging but rather folded cardboard so the chances of receiving them damaged are high. I prefer Amazon.co.za they have a 30 day return window on books and are quick to resend a book if you have received it damaged in any form
