Non-Blackout Curtains and bad service

Nanwei and Takealot dissapointment I purchased these curtains from Takealot after attempting to order a different item, which unexpectedly became unavailable after I had already waited some time for it to arrive. As my house is still under construction, the curtains remained in their boxes until about two weeks ago. I hung them to keep prying eyes out of the house and to help reduce the heat, as it is quite hot where we live. However, as I am not yet residing there, I only realised last week that the curtains are not performing as advertised. I contacted Takealot to request a return and refund so that I could purchase curtains that provide proper blackout functionality, as promised. Takealot refused both a refund and a replacement (with a product that performs as advertised). I also pointed out that it is within my rights to request a refund, but this was ignored. I am disappointed in Takealot, as I have been a loyal customer for many years.
