NO service, Bogus guarantee, No more Confidence

I was recently looking for a new blender but because my previous one (also bought from takealot) broke just a few months after buying it I wanted to buy a better quality one. I searched and found a Philips blender that came with a 24 month guarantee and was about double the price of my previous one. What can go wrong right?? Wrong. The blender broke after using it only about 10 times. I wasn't blending ice or anything difficult, it was soup and this is a 1000W blender. But the blender has plastic clips that are not very strong and they broke off after using it only about 10 times. No problem right, because its still under guarantee? Wrong again. Philips would not fix it because that particular part is not guaranteed. The weakest part on the blender is not guaranteed. And takealot dusted their hands on the issue. No service and therefore no more confidence in the brand. I have been a customer for a very long time but they won't see me again. They didn't even offer to get it fixed and they never returned the broken product. I paid almost R2000 for a blender that I used a few times and all they can do is shrug their shoulders and ***** money from the next person.
