No refund on Ebooks that's faulty

End of April I bought 4 ebooks on Kalahari (now Takealot) that almost cost me R500. This was in the process that Kalahari merged with Takealot. When I downloaded the books I had various technical issues to put the books on the Gobi reader from Kalahari.

After multiple emails from the Takealot technical team, trying to transfer the books on the ereader..it just wouldn't work. I requested takealot to please refund my purchase and got a reply that the fault is on my side and they can't help or refund the purchase. Which is ridiculous. I as a consumer have a right to return a product that is not working and that I am not happy with.

Not only did I lose my money on the ebooks I bought, my Gobi reader is now useless as it was linked with my Kalahari account.

Really disappointing and frustrating.

Hello swolfaardt,

We're sorry to hear of the troubles with your latest eBooks purchases & that we weren't able to assist you in getting them onto your Gobi reader. We'll get our complaints team to liaise with our marketing department about your refund request & will be in touch with you tomorrow morning.

You'll be glad to know that you should still be able to use your Gobi reader with us and can find out more on how to do this in our FAQs section at http://justmerged.takealot.com/faqs/index.html#q-3-16

We'll also instruct our complaints team to talk you through this when they contact you tomorrow.

Sincerely,
