No refund for product which did not match description

I purchased 2 desks for my kids on takelot, it arrived in boxes and needed assembly. I opened the boxes and started the assembly. The desks are chipboard covered with melamine and 1 mm edging. All tools and glue is provided. I assembled and glued the deskes following the instructions 100%.

When it was completely assembled i realised the bad quality of the product. It was not as per the description and i started the refund proses.

I could not put the items back into a box as it was already assembled (and glued as per instructions). I explained this in my return application, which was then accepted.

I secured the items and it was collected in perfect assembled state.

It is now 3 weeks later and i still have not had any feedback! Now i am sitting without the desks or my money!!
