NO Delivery as promised

<p>I purchased items on the 28 June for COD. The delivery date stated 03 July. As the date of delivery stated 3 July i expected to receive the item on 3rd July. On the 28 July the delivery person rocks up at my gate for delivery. My husband notified him that we are not at home and that he should come back on the 3rd July. The delivery guy agreed telephonically but then came again on the weekend even though my husband told him to come back on the promised delivery date.When i called take alot, they claim the items were returned and that they are not at the same price anymore and that I would have to purchase at the higher price. What is the point of stating a delivery date if you dont intend delivering the items on the date arranged especially if it is COD. I am really dissapointed!!!!</p>
