No delivery and reason provided

On 5 Jan I have ordered something on Takealot to be delivered on 6 Jan. The order number was # ********** 5.

We were at home the whole day. I was informed on the morning of the 6th that the package will be delivered before 5pm.

At 4:50pm I got an sms that the package could not be delivered due to the person at the address not producing an ID. The problem is I was at home and Takealot was never here.

I phoned their call centre after struggling to get a number and then an excuse was provided that it is only a satelite depo etc. etc.

Firstly I am not happy of the reason provided which means their employees or agents are lying

Secondly if you tell someone that something is going to be done that day please do so as you know or should know what your number of deliveries will be.

I am not happy at all with the service received
