No Delivery After Paying For Guaranteed Express Delivery

I placed an order on the 14th of November 2024.

I had the option of free delivery for Saturday the 16th of November 2024 or R75 for delivery today the 15th of November 2024. So I paid the extra R75 for guaranteed express delivery for the 15th of November 2024.

Waited the entire day for delivery and nothing happened. At 19:30 I contacted their customer service to find out where my order is. They rep**** with the following:

"Thank you for contacting Takealot.com. Please be advised that we are currently processing your order and your delivery date is Mon, 18 Nov 2024. Please be advised that your shipping fee will be automatically refunded. Please allow 24 - 48 hours after the order has been received for this to be actioned. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused. Should you have any further queries or need any further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us."

Now I have to wait till Monday the 18th of November 2024. What happened to being able to deliver on Saturday????

This is the reason people use Temu and Amazon.

You were quick to take my R75 and now I have to wait 4 days for my order and another 48 hours after delivery for my R75......

Why give people the option for guaranteed express if you not going to deliver??? Also, could nobody at Takealot let me know that the order was not being delivered today?

The app still says that it would be delivered today.

I've been sitting around waiting for delivery like an asshole.
