No control over sellers

I used to shop on Takealot frequently but over the years the service declined drastically. Today my order was cancelled (the day before delivery after waiting a week) due to being “out of stock” and Takealot is apparently not able to source the item from their supplier. Well wouldn’t you know, the item is still available for purchase on their website but for a higher price now, from the same supplier. Takealot has no control over their 3rd pty sellers and just don’t care about their customers. You won’t find this behaviour on Amazon. This is NOT the first time this happened. Why even have sales when all you do is cancel orders of sales and the. Try to force customers to pay normal price?
