No consistency

I bought a notebook at Takeakot, only to find out that the space is too small, I wrote them an email wanting to find out if I can return it since I did not have the box anymore. The response was that it will have to go for evaluation. After they have collected the notebook they tell me I can't return it without the original packaging. I mean on the email I sent asking, why was I not told I can't return if I don't have an original packaging. Iam unhappy with the service I received.
