No concern for customer

<p>I purchased a Huawei p8 lite from Takealot.com in early December as a gift for my fiance. Very happy with the device and everything is fine. About two weeks ago the device all of a sudden stopped working. We tried rebooting and resetting and checked all sorts of things with no luck. We called the carrier network and they couldn't pick anything up on the sim so it had to be the device. Just before we wanted to take the phone to Huawei store I received an email from Takealot.com stating that the devices was blacklisted accidentally and would be replaced. I went to the warehouse.The staff at the Cape Town warehouse was not aware of the situation with the problematic device. There was no replacement units at the warehouse available. The email said that the unit will be replaced when bringing it in. We waited at the Cape Town warehouse for +- 3hours.The website showed stock of another similar device at Cape Town warehouse but was wrong. We asked for a refund and expressed the urgency of it due to the fact that we will now be leaving the warehouse with nothing. It was said that the refund will be paid back the same day and the next afternoon there was nothing. We were satisfied with the device but due to take alot asking us to bring in the device after it stopped working on the network this boils down to how Takealot.com handled the situation and there service promised to there customers. So far it has been a nightmare and still not resolved. I am utterly disappointed with all the effort that we had to put in including petrol costs data chargers and important phone calls and emails missed due to u non working device and no way to repurchase a device. No compensation,and as of yet awaiting an apology for this big mess. :update: it is now Sunday and I'm starting to get very frustrated with Takealot.com. I emailed and called customer services who "advised" me that I should give it till the morning for my funds to reflect. I have still not received anything yet and still stuck with nothing after I was told it would be refunded same day!</p>
