No communication on shipment delays

I bought a host of items on 9 Nov, thinking I'm getting it on 3 Dec as they promised. 3 Dec went by with no delivery. Without ANY notification the ETD is now promised to be 17 Dec. Two weeks is a long delay, eh? I needed these items before my company shuts down for Christmas as they are gifts for colleagues! So I called, waited for 6 minutes and eventually gave up.
