No call just cancel on email
I placed my order on the 24th of december expecting delivery before 31st of december. Just got an email stating the order is canceled due to no stock !! On the email its stated that they must call me to inform me about the item out of stock. When i phoned to complaint the first lady put the phone down and the second time the lady said she will get back to me !! Now i have to place another order and get a different item and wait another week for delivery !!! Its unacceptable

29 Dec 2015, 14:31Hello leentjieroodt,
Our standard procedure of informing customers about stock situations such as yours is to do so via e-mail. The marketplace team member who initially sent the e-mail communication to you did so in error and was not aware of the aforementioned policy, hence his request for you to be called instead of e-mailed. We apologise for this miscommunication and that you did not receive a call as expected.
We appreciate you taking our complaints team's call to apologise for the overall disappointing experience. As discussed we are awaiting feedback from the relevant department w.r.t. the availability of the item you initially ordered.
We'll be in touch with you the minute we hear from them and we'll do our best to find a suitable solution to resolve this matter with you.
Sincerely,
takealot.com
