NEXT DAY DELIVERY IS A ****

When ordering from takealot.com DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT--- OPT FOR THE "EXPRESS DELIVERY/NEXT DAY DELIVERY". It would be pointless and a waste of your money (since it's more expensive that normal delivery) They say next day but they have no official turnaround time, when it best suits them is more like it. I took time of work to wait for my delivery at home (a washing machine). While waiting got an sms that said delivery date had been changed to the next day. I called to complain and a consultant assured me that he will make arrangement that I receive the item on that very day since I had already taken the time off work to wait for them. I became the clown of the day, no call no text no delivery. Called again next morning to let them know that I have no one to receive the item now since I'm at work may I have the contact number of courier to make arrangement as to how to receive item. Consultant again overpromised and under delivered, telling me they'll get me that contact. NO RESPONSE FROM THEM. then I get a call from a very impatient courier saying he's outside my gate. When I asked him to wait for me to drive there he said he's in a hurry he will leave it with a neighbor. WAS I NOT LIVID!! I TOLD HIM TO WAIT, when I arrived my items were already outside on the stoep. Driver just pointed to them as tho I'm supposed to carry a washing machine into my home. If I didn't insist on assistance he was clearly ready to drive off. NEVER AGAIN.
