Never buying anything from Takealot again

Hi.

Bought a kids gps watch from Takealot about a week or so back, firstly took forever to get to me. Because they advertise things that they dont even have. Eventually received the item after my sons birthday. Checked item quickly all seemed fine. Didn't switch on but thought it would need to be charged. Put back in box and wrapped.

Gave watch to my son at his birthday party. Watch doesn't want to switch on. Plugged in nothing. Watched numerous you tube videos to see what to do. Still nothing happening on watch.

Logged a return on the item. Takealot takes forever again to come and collect the item. We package the item and eventually they come and pick item up. 3 days after that they receive it at the warehouse.

I am being told that they will add credit to my account to purchase a new one as they still dont have stock of the item i bought. All good waiting again to hear from them.

Got email yesterday saying that they can unfortunately not accept the returned item as it is physically damaged.

I asked for photos of the damage. The watch was not damaged at all when it left our property. It looked perfect just didn't want to switch on.

The driver or someone had to fiddle with the thing because that did not look like that when i returned the item.

In other words now they sending me the broken watch to do what with?

I will never in my life buy anything from TAKEALOT again. This will also be taken up by the Consumer board.

I can believe they think that i will give a gift to someone that looks like that

Ridiculous.

Their staff is also not very helpful and friendly.
