Misleading Product. No Cash Refund. Dishonest Practices

I ordered a jacket from Takealot for R2750 and received a completely different item. The quality was substandard, the design didn’t match what was advertised, and the entire experience felt like a ****. What’s worse — despite paying in cash via COD, Takealot is now refusing to refund me in cash, insisting on a bank transfer, which was never clearly stated anywhere during the purchase.

Even more frustrating, a Takealot manager verbally confirmed over the phone that I would receive my cash back, only for the customer service team to backtrack and cite internal policies. It’s easy for them to collect cash, but they make it incredibly difficult to return it.

Takealot, your lack of transparency, misleading product listings, and contradictory communication are unacceptable. If this isn’t resolved immediately, I’ll be pursuing legal action and will be sharing this experience across all social media platforms to warn other customers.

Disgraceful service. Be warned.
