Misleading information
I am very appalled by my experience I had today with my scheduled “interview” to become a delivery driver for TAKEALOT. I went on the TAKEALOT website about a week ago under the careers section whereby a person can apply to become a delivery driver for TAKEALOT. I did the application and within a few days was invited for an interview at the branch of my choice. Very excited about the opportunity I made arrangements (luckily in my off days) to attend the interview. However, my experience was much less exciting and very unprofessional to say the least. People are being interviewed in groups outside the building by a security guard. Firstly, security is there for law and order, since when do they interview people!! We were informed that the application is not specific to TAKEALOT. New applicants will need to start as a pizza delivery driver as new applicants cannot be trusted yet with delivering parcels of high value. It was also stated that a driver have no guarantee on whether a person will eventually become a TAKEALOT driver or even the time frame of becoming such driver. My question: TAKEALOT’s name are being used to interview and attract people to become drivers, but then you have to hear that TAKEALOT does not employ new applicants. This is very misleading to use TAKEALOT’s name to find out afterwards a person need to start as a food delivery driver. If TAKEALOT does not have new positions for drivers available, why allow people to apply??
