Misleading Claims regarding Warranties

When buying my Samsonite Travel Case, on the product description a 5 year Warranty was indicated. We noticed the one wheel was damaged a week after purchasing, but we were already at the airport and had no way of changing suitcases. We returned and took the item to Samsonite as we thought it less of a hassle and we thought we had a warranty, but after booking the item in at samsonite, I was informed that Takealot never got the warranty signed and dated, thus NO VALID WARRANTY! When asking for help and assistance I was send a mail stating :" The unit was not sent to us and there are no docs form the supplier stating what we should do, regrettably, we can t assist." WE CANT ASSIST.

Now I need to pay for the repairs on an item re receives damaged ASWELL as with no 5 year warranty... On a R4000 item...plus R600 repairs. Alot of money wastes because of takealot lack of help
