Lying about availability of signee

Order *** I ordered a book on Friday 2 September, for delivery on Saturday 3 September. Upon tracking the order as I waited for delivery the entire day, I was surprised to see that I was apparently not available to accept delivery. I live in a security estate where deliveries are to report to security, after which they phone me to inform me I have a visitor. The security confirmed that no takealot deliveries reported to them.

What I find very interesting is that, according to the tracking, the package was only out for delivery at 16h45, and at 16h48 it shows I was not available. That’s 3 minutes?! It is clear that your courier team is lying.

Why do I have to pay R65 for delivery if you are going to be dishonest? I am honestly very unhappy and await your response.
