Lies about the about and their delivery service!

Absolutely poor service! I tried my first order for R500 that was a week ago. My order was due for delivery on Tuesday. On Tuesday i had to call in to find out where my order was - i was told it would be delivered on Thursday. Thursday came by and nothing delivered. This was meant to be a GIFT for my nephews birthday and the time factor was misleading. On the website all the items say "available for next day delivery" which is a lie. After calling the customer centre for the second time - i was told my order will be split but i am still not going to receive in time. I am extremely disappointed in the service and the inconvenience Takealot has caused me! Why say delivery in 2-5days if you cannot deliver in time. Why say on your website that the items are available for delivery the next day when this too is a lie. I can understand if there are delays but the Takealot service rendered - there is no communication of the delays and no alternatives offered to customers. Customer consultants were too quick to persuade me not to cancel the order though. One of those corporates whose sole interest is make money at any cost and in return the customer must be at their mercy! I certainly would not recommend using their service! This is not a good representation of what online shopping should be like.
