Late delivery and order being marked as delivered when it was not.

I received an sms stating that my order would be delivered yesterday. I then received an email stating that my order was delivered and signed for by my husband at 10:36am. He did not receive or sign for the order and neither did the receptionist at his office. After numerous phone calls yesterday, no one got back to me. This morning I phoned and emailed, and was told that my query will be escalated. Finally someone said they will bring it to their manager's attention. All this while I am thinking my order of just under R500 has gone missing or some strange person signed for it. I needed this as I ordered a gift for someone. After being given the run around, and being told they will send me the proof of delivery, the order ACTUALLY gets delivered at 11:30am this morning. So why did they email me to say that it was signed for and delivered yesterday? I am absolutely furious and I have never had a problem with Takealot before! Not only was my order late, you **** to me in saying that it was delivered when it was not! Very unhappy customer.
