Lame Excuses

On 28 February 2026 I ordered a 80mm Electric Gate Wheels set on the Takealot App for R250 with R35 delivery fee with confirmation email that my order will be available for collection on 16 March 2026.

On 3 March, I received an email notifying me my order was cancelled with the following excuse:

"Regrettably, an inadvertent error caused in the following item(s) you intended to purchase to be shown as available for sale at an incorrect price. Upon becoming aware of this error, we immediately rectified and updated the item listing with the correct pricing on our site. We've therefore unfortunately had to cancel the item(s) from your order."

This is unacceptable as this was advertised on the App with the given price, payment was made immediately and the confirmation email was received directly after payment.

I demand Takealot to send me my order as was advertised and paid for on the App.
