Item returned: takealot then changed the reason for the return and kept the item after I wanted in repaired/replaced

I ordered kitty headphones for my child's birthday. After a few weeks use the leather on the one earphone came loose. I then sent it back, stating that I would like it repaired/replaced. I clearly indicated that the product is defective or damaged and my preferred outcome is to replace the item. Ref MRRN-6VY75-7BON. I received an email from 'Yolanda.Mka' informing me that the return has been declined (I couldn't find the original packaging at the time I sent it back, I have since found it). Strangely, she states that the reason for my return is that the item is no longer wanted, which is absolutely not the case. I rep**** with a screenshot showing that I wanted the item replaced. No response. I then tried to contact takealot.com using their contact/help page, but I simply cannot find it, or any other contact number. I also found a post from someone else saying that the contact page simply doesn't exist. I am really not happy about this. Takealot has misrepresented the reason for the return, and effectively ****** this item from me. If I just made a repair to the item myself then I wouldn't sit with this ridiculous problem. Either refund me or return the item once it has been repaired/replaced. If this is the way takealot.com does business then they better be careful: that 4.5 star rating on Google is going to change if more people start getting this kind of service.
