Item appears to be used!!
Purchased a few items on 5th December and it arrived in good time. Did most of my christmas shopping online and takealot was always a favourite for me. However , I was suprised when I opened my takealot box today so find that 1 of the items was certainly not in new condition (The Great Gadget GroupUniversal Portable Power Charger 13 000mAH - White & Black). The box was only opened today as we decided to start wrapping our gifts. I have never had a complaint of this nature with takealot and was quite suprised. I have no choice now but wrap this item and try to explain that this is how the gift arrived. As a long term customer who does spends thousands a year with takealot , I do feel ****** and find it quite insulting that either secondhand goods are \passed on"as new or no one bothered to check the item that a customer has paid for. I do understand that this is a busy period and you guys are doing a great job of handling the crowd "
We completely understand where you're coming from and would like to apologise for sending you an item in such a poor state. Had we paid closer attention to the item when it was packed we could have prevented this unnecessary frustration. It sounds like you could possibly have received a returned item by mistake, but we'll only be able to determine the cause when the item is returned to our warehouse for assessment.
Our complaints team will liaise with the relevant departments to confirm whether an immediate replacement is possible. They'll be in touch with you as soon as they've received feedback to confirm if you'd like to proceed with a return.
Once again we're sorry for the unfortunate situation & will do our best to get this matter corrected ASAP.
