Is this my only hope.

So this is the second time I have to make a report due to bad service on a even worse item.

I will not delve into the first time as that was managed good by the takealot hellopeter team.

But as of last night I am kind of disgusted.

After I got a replacement for my previous phone, which had problems. I was well into 4 months of using a new one (had the same problems but forced myself to live with it) when until last week it was workable. However after ending a phone call and pressing the [End Call] on my phone, as I looked in horror my screen started visibly cracking before me, I almost threw the phone away as I thought it was gonna take my hand off with a boom, but saner minds prevailed. After cursing a whole lot I figured that my touch pad was basically off.

The phone was running 100% but the almost shattered screen almost cut my hands as I tried just unlocking my phone. This wouldn't do, I already wanted to get rid of this phone (the old problems) but I had to have a working phone for work and so on. Went to several repair shops but none had the screen for me, not even having an idea that such phone exists. I knew - this phone has to go back, I am done.

Requested a return and 2 days later 2 couriers came knocking on my home door - luckily I was on lunch. (No phone calls, no notifications for collection.)

Phone was picked up on Friday, 15th of July and return was received on Monday, 18th. Last night after 8pm a Marvin Warely emails me with heading "Your takealot.com teturn request" not even spelled correctly.

He informs me that my item is rejected for return as "there is visible user damage" and that the item will be sent back to me from takealot's warehouse. They even had my original refund request as a fault description but just put down "LCD Cracked" and 'Decline' circled.

Now this was starting to tick me off as the "person" communicating with me didn't answer one single question asked but only copy+pasted the same message with different wording.

I will not stand for this as I expect a higher quality of service from a known retailer like Takealot.com

I don't want the item back, which is probably worse off now after going through couriers and so on.

I do not want money, I just want credit allocated to my account for this faulty phone as I tend to buy a lot more from Takealot, just no more phones for me.

Hope to hear from someone soon - email would be best for keeping log.
