Is Takealot compromising our personal information??

Long and short, I made a purchase from takealot.The product turned out to be faulty.I made request to return the product.Someone who claimed to be from takealot came to my home to collect the product.He had the takealot device,all my details, name,address etc.He even put a barcode sticker on the bag.However when i followed up with Takealot they claimed to not have received the return. I have been taken from pillar to post with 4 consultants who promise to follow up but seem to go missing. My questions are: 1.How did this person know my personal details 2.How is it that he had a device showing takealot details 3.With POPI coming into effect was my data and safety of my family compromised? 4.Did or is this happening to others? 5.Is this a inside job?

I have alway trusted Takealot, I wonder whether they will try to maintain my trust....
