Inferior products and poor customer services

I bought an Alva Air 40cm Mist Fan in December 2021 from Takealot. This product was so inferior that it after a few uses it just packed up.

Following holiday period I completed a return for this item (was done around first week of January 2022). Item which was fully assembled was wrapped in plastic and returned to Takealot.

After a few days I received an email from their Ashlene.N alleging that certain items were missing: - castor wheels - support tubes - plastic blades

I am perplexed to receive an email like this when the fully assembled item was sent back properly - do the people at Takealot even do inspections properly?

Is this a tactic for them to weasel out from selling me a dud item. Its also downright dishonest from Takealot to allege that the 3 items were missing when they were all returned (as assembled).

Will not be supporting Takealot in future!
