Incredibly bad and slow service

<p>Every time I place an order these days on takealot.com, it's like their bad delivery dates are both challenges and targets to them. There was a time when if you ordered something, you would get it within two days, but the last couple of years their service just got worse and worse. One of the last times I ordered from them, it took them 2 to 3 days just to PROCESS the order?? when they finally processed the order, it was a late friday afternoon and then the order only got shipped the monday, which really held me back. The delivery took around three days to get to me after that. 3 days to deliver a package to a place 320 KM away? how does that make any sense? and the best part of it all, it happens quite often to me with them these days. Further on, There was a time that takealot (back then they were still TAKE2) gave me excellent service, and it's because of that, that I still buy from them, but I am fed up now. From then to now I have spent tens of thousands of rands on their products but I am fed up now. I have placed an order yesterday with them, and guess what? because one or two items on my relatively large order is currently out of stock, they want to hold back my entire order until they can get their hands on the out of stock items. I really need those items quite urgently. They always say 5-7 business days when they must get something from a supplier. I ordered something from Rectron (a computer related distributer) yesterday and they told me the stuff will be with me within 2 business days. Now consider that this is a 320KM delivery also, where takealot could have ordered from them and the delivery would not even have been 10 kilometers. How on earth does it take them a week to transport a specific item 10 kilometers? Why dont they just organise a courier to send directly from their distributer to me? and why dont they just split the order and send me what they have in stock so long? what is up with their service? they really became very lazy and they got an attitude of "the customers can wait because we have a lot of them", well my message to them is they have gotten their LAST order from me. I will never make use of their service again. The only thing that Takealot is good for these days is to take a lot of my time. Another thing, for some reason a lot of my invoices that should be on takealot's website is not there. I don't know what is going on there but I don't like it one bit. If I have problems with my order, I won't be able to send it back because they did not keep it on record.</p> <p>Now If I compare to Evetech.co.za. I once ordered from them on a Thursday afternoon around 13H00, I made payment to them with EFT (which takes around 2 days usually to clear..) The Friday morning I GOT MY DELIVERY. Now THAT is service.</p> <p>And like I said, I ordered something from Rectron yesterday, The order is on it's way NOW. </p> <p>When I order from AMAZON.com my stuff gets here quicker than when I order from takealot, and AMAZON is based in North-America..</p> <p> </p> <p>I have two accounts on takealot.com from which I make purchases.
