Inconsistent

I've been using Takealot.com for a few years now. The service isn't really consistent. Lately, my orders take forever to get shipped, one time the order was canceled and I didn't end up getting the product because it wasn't available (luckily, my refund was processed). But, it would have saved me time to shop elsewhere. From then on, I realized Takealot.com was not all the way reliable. I also recently ordered a novel and it was squashed into a box too small for the book. I had to bend the book to get it out the box, and because someone else squashed it in, the bottom part of the spine was a bit bruised, and I'm not pleased with that.

Otherwise, two stars for the drivers. I've never had an issue with them, and they always call once they've arrived. Takealot.com also sends a message when items are due for delivery - I received one the day before delivery and I always receive one on the delivery date (in the morning) to confirm that my order is still scheduled for delivery.

There's room for improvement. The way orders are packaged is not always up to standard - sometimes the box is too big for what you ordered, sometimes it is too small. And the shipping and delivery period has become a bit long. I'll only be using Takealot.com to buy things I don't need within a week because an "estimated delivery" date that is 17 days away is enough time for me to make alternate arrangements without Takealot.com.
