Immediate price difference and no regard for customers

I purchased two expensive phones on the website and immediately after I made the purchase the price changed and was R1500 more expensive than what I paid. I phoned customer care to report this and they advised that the only way I could qualify for the new prices is to request a return and refund and buy the phones again at the new price which is ridiculous as I cannot spend that amount of money twice and wait for the refund. They are not part of the daily deals or any other promotions. I have been a loyal takealot customer for many years, but they absolutely don't care about their customers. Please be warned.
