Ignore warranties

I bought an airfryer that caught on fire while under normal use. The airfryer had a two year warranty and this happened during the first year. Takealot would not uphold the warranty, simply saying I damaged it without giving any explanation how it was my fault. The landlord had an electrian come inspect the outlets and all was in order. The appliance was simply faulty but Takealot refused to do their part.
