I would give a 0 rating if I could - WORST service ever

I am busy planning gifts for 35 children graduating. A charity does starter packs for them and we decided to help them to give them something to go in to Grade 1 with. Otherwise they would not have the basics needed. After this event we are doing a Christmas party for 20 children.

We needed quite a volume of items and we decided to use takealot since the items were going to be delivered on the 30th November.

No items have arrived. We have been unable to prepare adequately and still we have no idea when it will arrive. We will now have to potentially re-buy all the items and because of takealots return policy we will have to wait for this order to arrive to send it back. After it is collected it will have to be checked and then they will take 5 - 7 working days to refund us our money.

The above could have been avoided had they just been honest due to the delivery times. Now I deal with unanswered emails, numerous calls and empty promises instead.

I have emailed five different individuals - all promising they will get back to me. I have dealt with over six call center agents - (these have been the worst)

The standard procedure is: We will call you back in an hour, we will query with the courier, we promise we will call back. Yet no calls are returned (except for one) No one is able to call the courier - its not standard protocol I hear today, after agents have said they were calling. I have offered to collect my parcel from the warehouse but this is not allowed as well, I have begged for an exception to be made since this poor service affects 35 & then 20 children but everyone just says they will ask and then fails to get back to me.

I have been asking for a manager to call me and after much frustration on a call today I finally spoke to the team leader Torrick. He has now promised to have my parcel delivered today. But then so have the 11+ people I have dealt with. He also said he knows its for a birthday party this weekend. Omg, sigh. So I have to explain again that no, it is for a charity event and if I don't have the items today I need to know so that I can go and replace them.

I really hope Torrick wont let me down like, Abdul, Lindo, Rahul, Luciano, Zaheer, Sipho, Zara and the other promising agents that did not give me their names or log their calls.
